The statistic that changed how I think about careers

Two things people underestimate at the same time — and what the income distribution looks like when you put them side by side.

One statistic completely changed how I think about careers.

Most people underestimate two things at once:

  • how hard it is to become a top earner as an employee;
  • how hard it is to build a successful business.

I tried to put both distributions side by side, and the result surprised me. If the goal is to earn more than 500k a month, entrepreneurship is the more likely route.
